Myeloma Foundation
A letter of thanks was received from the Myeloma Foundation for our recent donation. The club also received a letter from Hospice thanking the club for its ongoing support.
R100 Project
Collin provided a brief update regarding the R100 project. A meeting was held today with the Council, but unfortunately our club was absent due to other commitments. It is hoped that this project will get some traction and commence soon.
BBQ 24 May
The club is helping at a Warrnambool East Primary School breakfast on Tuesday 24 May, four or five helpers are required.
Other BBQ's
The New Life Church made a donation for a BBQ the club provided some time ago. Also, the recent BBQ at the Greyhounds will realise a substantial profit and includes an invoice for various activities carried out by club members.
Orchids for Sale
Noel reminded members he has about 40 orchids for sale or lease. $15 to purchase, $10 to rent, and all funds raised go into our club project account.
HIO 2023
Mike Toone spoke re the HiO and thanked all Rotarians who have made contact with him since he announced he was taking over as HiO Chair, he really appreciates the support and offers to help with setting up, seeing sponsors, preparing the course and other preliminary work.
Mike noted that he was taking for granted that unless advised otherwise, all on the existing committee remain on the HiO committee, but Mike also invited any other club members who are not currently on the committee to join the committee if they wish to become more involved, and everyone is welcome. Planning has commenced for next year.
