Did you know?
We, Rotary Club of Warrnambool East, are a grandchild of the first Rotary Club in Australia. A new Rotary club can only come about by the actions of one or more existing Rotary clubs.

The Rotary Club of Warrnambool was chartered on 20 November 1929 under the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Melbourne, making Warrnambool a child of Melbourne. As the result of action taken by the Rotary Club of Warrnambool, Warrnambool East was chartered on 28 June 1967, thus making RCWE a grandchild of Melbourne, the first Rotary Club in Australia.

The other clubs in Warrnambool came about as follows:-
Rotary Club of Warrnambool Central      sponsored by RCW & RCWE chartered 16 September 1988
Rotary Club of Warrnambool Daybreak   sponsored by RCWE chartered 5 August 1998
